Barrett Jackson’s Scottsdale Auto Auction
Collectors and enthusiasts will enjoy a Hollywood spiked lineup of sale cars this year as two Transformers movie stars will be up for bid. The Optimus Prime big rig (painted blue with flaming sides) will be sold by Paramount Studios, as well as Michael Bay’s own 1967 Camaro SS which played Bumblebee. The stunt cars will go across the block on January 30th and make for an exciting final day of the event.
Also gracing the stage will be a gorgeous 1938 Coddington V12 Hemi “The French Connection” and the first-off-the-line 2017 Acura NSX, VIN #001!
Phoenix Open by Waste Management
The tents are already assembled and waiting for the hugely popular golf tournament in Scottsdale. Dubbed “The Greatest Show on Grass” the event, which runs February 1st to 7th, will have at least 500,0000 spectators. Waste Management is very proud of their achievement of Zero Waste validation for the third year running on this Scottsdale favorite.
Sixty Years of Spring Training in Scottsdale
This March Scottsdale Stadium celebrates six decades of operation as the training home of major league baseball teams and other events. They have recently overhauled their facility in order to host rugby events, in addition to corporate events during the year. On March 5th 2016 the stadium will be holding a special event named “All Things Baseball.”
